I don't really see where the Devils gain. Ya they gain a little bit of overalls but they also gain a shit ton of age and 3M+ in cap.

im shipping out an underperforming goaltender for Rinne who is top 5 in 2 goalie categories currently, and has his team sitting on top of the West. Read is also out perforning and cheaper than Brunner, Legwand adds some much needed depth.

I'll be honest, I don't see why Devs would pass on Schneids for Rinne... BUT that's my own personal preference. The deal is sound otherwise.
