Ilya Kovalchuk is rumored to be returning to the NHL for the 2016-2017 season. Russia's unstable economy is the major factor in many KHL players wanting to leave to the NHL.
Kovalchuk played in the NHL for 12 seasons from 2001 to 2013. In 816 games, he scored 417 goals and tallied 399 assists for a total of 816 points. He is a one time Rocket Richard winner for the most goals in a season.
Although it is not certain that he will return to the NHL, offers will be taken into consideration for the all-star forward. In Quest, his info will be as follows, and he will be appearing on the Free Agency Frenzy List of 2016. Good luck to all teams aspiring to land him!

Kovalchuk is not the only player either returning from the KHL or some other league, with a list to be posted soon. This list will be former NHL'ers returning to the NHL from retirement, the KHL, the SHL, and all around the world. I'm currently in contact with many players regarding their return and am looking forward to report on their status.
