Reject. Way too much going jets way plus Detroit has lots of cap space and almost a full team. Just really stupid on wings part seeing as franzen most likely will retire in a year or maybe 2

Nobody else can take on cap or take Franzen. I want him gone, and don't want to pay him 4M. I can't make other moves with him still taking 4M of cap space. I'm not interested in waiting maybe another season or 2 before he retires. Strome doesn't have a spot on this team, so he would just rot in the minors for me. This is the cost of dumping cap.

You could have just waived franzen and took the minor cap hit. Than moved strome for something more than a 3rd.

Franzen is a declining 82 overall, 37 yr old making almost $4M a season. Strome is a 79 OA, forget about the name. Unless I upgrade him at some point, he's a 4th line player

I doubt anyone would claim him, no one claimed clowe and hes higher overall with only 1 year left

Plus you don't even really have that much depth so giving up strome for nothing doesn't seem to smart to me

Free agency is right around the corner. I can find another 79 center I'm sure.

And I'd much rather do this than have to pay Franzen 1M to sit in the minors.

I'm gonna reject. Strome is a class A prospect and even though you may not have plans on upgrading him he is still worth way more than a 3rd. Sure Franzen is pricy but waive him to the minors and use him as a depth player.

I have plenty of depth on the RW, don't need him or want him. I don't get what people don't understand. Why waste cap space to buy him out or send him to the minors when when I've someone willing to take him. I have offered him to every single team in the league and nobody will take him, there's a reason why.

And this isn't C2C, Strome isn't a class A prospect. He will stay at a 79 unless someone uses upgrades on him, and I will not be.
