This is a list of what some of the popular free agents may be looking for when signing a contract. Then again, maybe it isn't who knows??? E5
Centermen:
Eric Staal - A good Canadian boy is looking to return to Canada. After years of living in Carolina this Canadian is ready to head back North. He would like to be captain of a team, and be a clear-cut #1 Centermen. Would like a decent winger to play with. Doesn't need to be an expensive contract either.
Dave Bolland - Looking to make a return to a Stanley Cup competitor. Would settle for a 2nd - 3rd line center role. Doesn't want to be the main guy on a team. Would ideally be on a line with a sniper.
Looking to go home? Gagner - Edmonton ; Legwand - Nashville ; Mike Ribeiro - Monteal ; Brad Richards - Tampa ; Talbot - Pittsburgh
Left Wingers:
Milan Lucic - At 28 years old and a Stanley Cup ring in hand Lucic is ready to enjoy his hockey career. Ideally Milan would like to go to a place with a warm climate where he can relax and heal up after his rough and tumble playing style.
Ryan O'Reilly - O'Reilly is ready to win a Stanley Cup. He would like to go to a place with a solid lineup. Ideally he would like to insert into a top LW position with a high rated Right Winger on his line.
David Perron - Looking for a long-term home. Has lots of good years left in him and he would like to prove that he has a lot to bring to a team.
Looking to go home? Bergenheim - Islanders ; Glencross - Calgary ; Penner - Edmonton ; Bouchard - Minnesota ; Ponikarovsky - Toronto
Right Wingers:
Kyle Okposo - Money money money, money.
Jaromir Jagr - Jaromir has accomplished a lot in his lifetime, yet what is he missing from his resume? A trip to Canada.
Justin Williams - A second line RW position would be nice. A contender would be an asset.
Looking to go home? Grabner - Islanders ; Versteeg - Chicago ; Bourque - Calgary ; Kennedy - Pittsburgh ; Doan - Arizona ; Tanguay - Colorado ; Eaves - Ottawa
Defencemen:
Steve Moses - One year deal only please. With a cup contender. This guy wants to be like Dominic Moore, every team in the NHL is open to him for a year so he can win a cup.
Brent Seabrook - Somewhere with a weak defence where he can step in and be number one. He wants to be in charge.
Erik Johnson - Would like to join a team with a young, growing defecensive core. Johnson would like to slot in as a top D, but with young guys.
Braydon Coburn - Somewhere he can party.
Looking to go home? Schenn - Toronto, Orpik - Pittsburgh, Volchenkov - Ottawa, Regehr - Calgary , Brewer - Edmonton
Goaltenders:
Jonas Hiller - Would look for a 1 year deal with a cup contendor where he is the number 1 guy.
Eddie Lack - Ideally would like to play in the east next season.
