Why do people do this? Why not announce you're going to waive him 1st and try and get a asset for him? I would have traded for this guy

I tried trading him. Said a couple of times in the c-box he's going cheap, never got a PM.
And I bet you wouldn't have traded anything of value for him. So instead of trading him for something unneeded, I'll take the cap room.
