***Putting a copy paste here for new GM's
Helloooo GM's!
We are back in business now, so let's get to some housekeeping:
First off, salary cap for this season will be 69M and the floor will be 50M
This league has a different waiver rule, which we adopted last season:
-Free buyouts will only occur for players UNDER 2M
-Players can now be bought out or put on waivers
-If a player is bought out, he is automatically bought out and becomes a free agent, they cannot be claimed
-Players that are bought out will have 1/4 of their cap retained by the team buying them out for the remainder of the contract
-Players that are placed on waivers can be claimed. The process remains the same, 24 hours put on waivers. If the player is claimed, the waiving team pays no penalty
-If the player clears waivers, the waiving team must pay 1/3 of the cap for the remaining SEASON
-Players that clear waivers must be put back on waivers at the beginning of the next season if they wish to be placed in the minors again
-If a team wishes to call-up a player that cleared waivers, they must put them on re-entry waivers. If they are claimed, the penalty for that season is waived
Because of this, every team receives 2 compliance buyouts (non-tradable). These will expire at the beginning of NEXT season's FA period (2015). That mean's you have 1 full season to determine which 2 players you want to buyout, if any at all. You do not have to buyout if you don't want to.
Free Agency:
FA will most likely begin on the weekend/early next week. PR will contact everyone once we open FA.
MLU/MPU:
The deadline for MLU/MPU will be Monday December 29 at 11:59PM Pacific. After that if you have not posted your MLU/MPU Admins will decide for you.
Finally, our Simmer, Sabres will be receiving NHL15 next week, so lets get trading!
Welcome aboard
