Also your statement of "next season they lose overalls" doesn't make sense. Stajan is probably hitting the market. So how would getting an 82 with a longer contract make them lose overalls?

accepts. Stajan has stated he no longer wants to be part of the Flames organization, as he's currently their 4th best center, so he was going to test the market if he remained with the Flames. THey're excited to bring in a veteran player that can be in their top 6
